GENERAL REGULATIONS

A – SOCIOCULTURAL LINKAGE – SPIRIT

The culture of motor history is an integral part of the heritage of this event, open to the participation of ancient and modern vehicles. This event was born in the name of friendship and the competition should not represent the point of reference for the participants, but rather the celebration of a meeting that encourages the exchange of experiences between people united by the same interest in the world of motorsport.

B – OBJECTIVE

The QUEENS’ CAVALCADE 2024 (QC24) is an event open to motorcycles and cars, intended to travel along roads of notable tourist and cultural interest. The objective is to complete a secret route along a route marked in a roadbook or GPS in order to check the navigation capacity and resistance of participants and motorcycles. In no way will it be a speed competition and all participants must comply, throughout the duration of the event, with the provisions of the highway code and local traffic regulations. The speed limitations, which, together with accuracy in navigation and strict compliance with the indications of the navigation devices, will form the final score.

C – ADMISSION OF PARTICIPANTS

Queens’ Cavalcade is an invitation-only event.
Queens’ Club members will be admitted. Additional participants presented by at least two members will also be admitted, up to a maximum of 50 participants.

D – SECURITY

“Fair-play” and good vibes are required at all times. Participants must drive making maneuvers easier for the rest of the participants at all times, avoiding any incident, and facilitating overtaking. As in all navigation events, the roads will be open to traffic so participants must take due precautions, having special respect when passing through towns or when they encounter cyclists in all the places through which the route passes, always The speed must be adapted to the road the participant is on, in addition to respecting all the indications that that road has. The average speed of the entire route does not exceed 50 km/h. Overtaking the participants is not one of the objectives of the event.

ARTICLE 1 – ORGANIZATION

The Club Deportivo DUCK MOTORSPORT (FEVA Member n.540) and Cromatica Strategic Communication SL are organizing the “QUEENS’ CAVALCADE” in the Canary Islands on 25-26-27-28 April 2024, a biennial event for historic, classic and modern vehicles.

ARTICLE 2.- DESCRIPTION OF THE EVENT

Queens’ Cavalcade is a tourist aggregation event, it is not a competition. It will be possible to enroll in two different programs:

2.1.QUEENS’ TROPHY will be divided into four stages (25-26-27-28 April).
To ensure the event takes place in maximum safety, an ideal average distance for the various stages or sections of them will be suggested to participants.
The organization will undertake to detect the behavior of the participants. In any case, average speeds exceeding 50km/h will not be permitted. All stages will take place in their entirety on roads open to traffic. Therefore, participants must respect the rules of the Traffic Laws at all times.

2.2.QUEENS’ CUP si articolerà in due tappe (27-28 aprile).

ARTICLE 3. – ADMITTED PARTICIPANTS

3.1.– Will be eligible to participate:

  • As drivers, the holders of the corresponding valid Driving License.
  • As passengers it is sufficient to be over 18 years old.

3.2.– By registering, all participants relieve the organizers of any liability arising from their participation in the event. They will also be financially responsible for the loss, breakage or deterioration of the technological elements provided for the test by the test organization. Any unsportsmanlike behavior or lack of respect during an event leads to sanctions for the participant, including even exclusion from the event, the decision of which is the responsibility of the event management. Any false statement will be grounds for exclusion from the test. Any unsportsmanlike or dangerous driving will be grounds for immediate exclusion.

3.3.- Starting from 6 April 2024, all information relating to the event will be communicated to participants via the Whatsapp group to which they will be added starting from their registration.

ARTICLE 4. – ACCEPTED VEHICLES

Only vehicles that are duly documented, registered, with mandatory insurance and equipped according to the highway code and these regulations may be registered.

4.1. Motorcycle category

The admitted vehicles are vehicles with a cylinder capacity greater than 120cc (electric greater than 11Kw) and will be grouped as follows:

A – Classic: Two or three wheel motorcycles produced until 1999.

B – Modern: Two or three-wheeled motorcycles produced since 2000.

C – Gubra HD Contest: single category for all Harley-Davidson motorcycles.

4.2.- Car category

The admitted vehicles are vehicles with a cylinder capacity greater than 500cc (electric greater than 21Kwh) and will be grouped as follows:

D – Classic: Cars produced until 1999.

E – Modern: cars produced since 2000.

4.3.- The organizer reserves the right, during technical checks, to change the registration of a vehicle in a category or class that it deems more appropriate.

4.4.- In the event that the date of your first registration does not correspond to the age of the vehicle, the manufacturing date of the unit for which registration is requested will be taken, but the interested party will have to demonstrate the manufacturing date by means of a certificate issued by the producer. In case of any doubt, it will be the Committee that determines its admission.

4.5.- The admission of a vehicle with different characteristics will be at the sole discretion of the organizing committee, taking into account values such as its sporting or historical relevance, etc.

4.7.- Vehicles that are not technically suitable for participation in the event will not be admitted, such as leaks of engine oil, fuel and other liquids, faulty/broken vehicle lighting system, etc…

4.8.- All participating vehicles must have mandatory civil liability insurance.

ARTICLE 5.- REGISTRATIONS

5.1.– Registrations will open on Monday 11 March 2024 at 8.00 pm and must be made via the website

5.2.– Each registration must contain:

– Name, address, ID or Passport and telephone number of the driver and navigator.

– Make, model, year of manufacture and registration of the vehicle.

– MOT and mandatory insurance of the vehicle, which covers at least the time of participation in the event.

– Proof of payment of registration fees.

5.3.– The amount of registration fees is established as follows:

  • Motorcycle driver € 280,00
  • Motorcycle passenger (optional) € 180,00
  • Pilot and co-pilot cars € 460.00

5.3.b- QUEENS’ CUP

  • Motorcycle driver € 140.00
  • Motorcycle passenger (optional) €90.00
  • Driver and co-driver car €230.00

5.4.– The closing date for registrations remains:

  • Saturday, March 30, 2024 at 12:00 p.m. to participate in the Queens’ Trophy and registration fees must be paid before 2:00 p.m. on that date.
  • Monday, April 15, 2024 at 12:00 p.m. to participate in the Queens’ Cup and the registration fees must be paid before 2:00 p.m. on that date.

5.5.– Once the registration period has closed, changes to the Driver, Navigator and/or Vehicle must be expressly authorized by the Organisation.

5.6.– The Organizer will assign the participation number in the order relating to the day and time in which registrations will be received.

5.7.– By simply signing the registration form, each participant is subject to the provisions of these Special Regulations.

5.8.– The Organizer reserves the right to refuse an entry without having to justify its decision. In this case the fees will be refunded to the non-admitted participant.

5.9.– The electronic system will prevent you from sending a registration without the necessary information or a copy of the payment of the fee.

ARTICLE 7.- ROADBOOK

7.1.– The Organizer of the event will provide participants with a Roadbook which measures and describes in detail the overall route, specifying the stages, sections and sectors as well as the sections in which average detection checks are foreseen. The route will be announced the day before the start of the first stage and will be the same for all participants.

7.2.– The Organizer will establish at least one suitable section, of at least 5 km, called “Calibration Section”, so that each participant can verify and adapt their measurements with those of the Roadbook and which will be made known at least 15 days before the start of the event .

ARTICLE 8. – PLATES, BIBS AND ADVERTISING

8.1.- The Organizer will give each team two plaques with the assigned number. These plates must be positioned in a clearly visible position, on both sides (preferably in the center of the front doors on cars and on motorcycle tanks). These plates cannot hide the vehicle’s license plates.

8.2.- The numbers will have a maximum approximate size of 30×30 cm. for cars and 10×10 cm. for motorbikes. The organizer reserves the right to place advertising stickers on the vehicles admitted to the start, for a maximum of 3 with a maximum surface area of 15×5 cm each.

ARTICOLO 9.- VERIFICATIONS

9.1.- Administrative verifications.

Before departure, the Organizer will establish an administrative verification that will control, at least, the Vehicle’s Driving Permit, ITV and Mandatory Insurance, as well as the Driving License of the driver and co-driver if driving.

9.2.– At any time during the event, checks may be carried out on the legality of participants.

9.3.- Technical verifications.

They will verify, at least, the identification of the vehicle and that it corresponds to the registration data.

The checks will take place in the place and time indicated by the organization, at which time the race numbers and the organization’s advertising must be affixed to the vehicle in the defined places.

9.4.– The Organizer will establish a time for checks which will be published together with the starting order, at least on the website www.queenscavalcade.com, and will be considered as a regularity check for the purposes of penalties for delays.

Article 10. – REGULARITY SECTIONS CLASSIFICATION

10.1.– The event will consist of stages, sections, sectors, controlled segments and transfer segments:

– Stage: Each of the parts of the tour separated by a stop of at least 9 hours.
– Section: Each of the parts included between: the start and the first regrouping, two successive regroupings and/or between the last regrouping and the arrival of a stage or event.
– Sector: Part of the route between the start of the stage or section and its first controlled section; or between two subsequent controlled sections; or again, between the departure of the last controlled section and the arrival of a section or stage.
– Controlled section: Section of the route in which the regularity of the participants’ conduct will be measured, compared to the recommended averages.
– Transfer segment
: Part of the route between the start of the stage and the beginning of the first controlled section; or between two controlled sections; or between the end of the last controlled section and the end of the stage.

10.2.– During the entire duration of the event, only the driver or the two members of the regularly registered crew must travel on board the vehicle, who must fully respect the route indicated in the roadbook, except for special provisions officially communicated by the race direction.

10.3.– Repairs on vehicles are authorized during the event.

ARTICLE 11.- AVERAGE SPEED SET AND CONDITIONS OF THE EVENT

11.1.– The average speed set will always be less than 50 km/h for the entire route on the road open to traffic. The Organizer will adjust this to the conditions of the road on which it is circulated, preventing the achievement of the average speed imposed from requiring contravention of the Traffic Regulations or driving recklessly.

11.2.– In the controlled segments, the average speed set for each of them, or within them, may be varied, in whole or in part.

11.3.– In the Transfer Segments the average speed imposed will not necessarily be the same as the previous or subsequent controlled section. It must be low enough so that the participating team has sufficient time to reach the next Qualifying Section or finish control.

11.4.– The Organizer will take into account the time necessary to refuel on the connecting sections.

11.5.– Timing will be done to the full minute second via GPS or manually.

11.6.– Zones will be established in which the speed of passage of vehicles will be controlled, exceeding which will give rise to the sanctions indicated in the corresponding article of this Regulation.

ARTICLE 12.- CONTROLS

12.1.- They will be located in areas that do not impede the movement of other users of the public road. Detection of the passage time begins when the vehicle crosses the flag for the start of the control zone.

The duration of the stop in the control zones must not exceed the time necessary for time recording operations.

Checkpoints will begin operating 10 minutes before the ideal passing time of the first competitor and, unless otherwise decided by Event Management, will stop operating 10 minutes after the ideal passing time of the last competitor.

12.2.– Departure and arrival time checks:

– Of the event, stage or route: indicated by banner at the time and place indicated in the Special Regulations and/or Roadbook.

– Controlled segments: Physical controls will not necessarily be in place. If there are marshals, they will take place as previously described, otherwise, it will be necessary for each participant to start at the reference indicated in the roadbook.

12.3.– Neutralization checks: multiple reorganization zones may be established along the route. If the neutralization control included a time control at the entrance and exit of these areas, its operation would fall back to what is foreseen for time controls.

12.4.– Regularity checks: They will be established in the controlled sections, in a secret number and place, at the discretion of the Organizer, and their presence must be hidden to the maximum extent possible. Care will be taken not to place them in towns, or after a dangerous crossing. No controls will be placed closer than 500 meters after the start of a controlled section or a stop or 100 meters before it.

12.5.– Competitors must report to the Event Director 30 minutes before the ideal departure time.

12.6.– The departure interval between every two vehicles will be 60 seconds. This interval may be increased or decreased at the discretion of the Event Director.

12.7.– It will be mandatory to carry out the last time check of each stage. Any vehicle that has not passed this time control or exceeds its theoretical arrival time by 10 minutes will be excluded from the test.

PARTICIPANTS WILL BE PROMPTLY UPDATED THROUGH THE WHATSAPP GROUP TO WHICH THEY WILL BE ADDED FOLLOWING REGISTRATION.
